They yell. They scream. They vent!

Who can blame them? Our national conversation is plagued by misunderstanding, confusion, obfuscation, distraction, extremes of puffery and vituperation. Most U.S. citizens are frustrated, angry, disgusted, cynical, exhausted, and tired of being manipulated and bullied. Others are afraid, nauseous with an ill-defined dread, given to hysterical fits of paranoia and shrill cries for help, whining and despair. Everybody’s talking and no one’s listening. And for the foreseeable future we can only expect more of the same. A roaring stampede rarely becomes a pleasant stroll.

We here at Literary Vagabond never want to be accused of not doing our part. Sitting on the sidelines and letting everyone else do the heavy lifting is not our style.

So we say . . . Go for it! Jump into the cage. Bare your teeth. Ball your fists. Ready yourself for some serious action. No pain no gain. Got an axe to grind? We do too. So does everybody. Start swinging and see what gets chopped off.
